Certifications and scope for your project
ELBASOCKS provides certification and audit documentation on request for sourcing review. Our compliance framework includes OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100, GOTS, GRS, ISO 9001 and amfori BSCI. Ask our team for current documents, the certified legal entity, applicable facility, scope and validity for your specific order.
OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100
This standard concerns textiles tested for harmful substances. A product claim depends on the certified article and relevant scope; it should not be extended automatically to every item in a range. Request the applicable certificate and verify its details before approving label use.
GOTS and GRS
GOTS relates to organic textile processing and its supply-chain requirements. GRS addresses recycled content and associated chain-of-custody requirements. Product eligibility and labelling must be established for the selected materials and production route. Ask about scope and transaction documentation for your programme.
ISO 9001 and amfori BSCI
ISO 9001 relates to a quality management system. amfori BSCI is a social compliance monitoring and audit system, rather than a product quality certificate. Request the current applicable management-system certificate and social audit information for your supplier review.
Make compliance part of the brief
Share your retailer manual, test requirements and restricted-substance expectations early. This allows the material and product specification to reflect your market. Certificate and audit names on a website do not replace document review for a purchase order.
Review the entity, scope and current validity
A certificate should be reviewed as a document with a defined holder, scope and validity period. Ask whether it applies to the manufacturing site, a material, a product group or a particular supply-chain activity. For your sourcing file, request the current copy and any details needed to verify it with the relevant programme. ELBASOCKS provides compliance information through its sales team.
This website does not publish invented document numbers or imply that every possible product qualifies for every listed standard.
Match product claims to the actual order
A buyer may need organic, recycled-content or harmful-substance documentation for a particular collection. Describe the requirement before yarn selection and sampling. The material composition, processing route and applicable scope can affect eligibility. Certification-related wording and seals on packaging need to follow the relevant programme’s requirements. Review label use separately from the visual artwork so an attractive packaging design does not inadvertently imply an unsupported claim.
Separate certification from social audit information
Quality management, product or material certification and social compliance audits answer different sourcing questions. ISO 9001 concerns a quality management system; it is not a statement that every sock has passed a named product test. amfori BSCI refers to a social compliance monitoring and audit framework. Review current audit information and any follow-up requirements as part of your supplier assessment.
These distinctions help procurement teams request the right evidence instead of treating all programme names as interchangeable certificates.
Build a project-specific compliance checklist
Provide your destination market, intended wearer and the claims you expect to place on packaging or product pages. Identify any buyer testing protocol and whether independent inspection is required. We can then review the documentation request alongside the manufacturing brief. If a standard name or marketing statement is unclear, resolve it before approval. The official standard information linked below helps explain the programmes; current ELBASOCKS documents must be requested from the sales team.
Plan your manufacturing brief
Share your intended use, target customer, material preferences, size range and quantity. Minimum orders start at 1,000 pairs; the design, colour and size allocation is confirmed during quotation. Specify your destination market and required testing so the project can be reviewed as a complete product.
Use our manufacturing inquiry form, explore private label production or read the sock tech pack guide. For compliance information see quality and certifications.
For the official explanation of textile harmful-substance testing, see OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100. Programme information does not replace reviewing the current certificate and product scope for your order.
Request your compliance pack
